Welcome

CBPHP is devoted to collective search and knowledge creation to support and sustain inclusive, healthy communities in which the needs and contributions of marginalized individuals and groups are recognized and valued.

The focus and attention to marginalized groups such as inner city poor, racial/ethnic minorities, limitations of gender, age, sexual orientation and their cross-cuts with the stigma of disabilities is intentional. It is driven by experiences and knowledge that such focus and tangible accommodations for marginalized groups benefit ALL. It enhances the health and quality of life within families, neighborhoods, communities and society as a whole.

CBPHP (Community-Based Public Health Programs) views the process of knowledge creation, ownership and uses as essential means toward inclusive, healthy communities for all. CBPHP has in place program staff with complimentary education, skill, experiences and intuitive understanding to support and sustain inclusive community building as both ends and means towards caring, healthy communities.

As tangible expression of CBPHP principles about knowledge creation, ownership uses, and long term sustained capacity building, imagination and reality of inclusive communities, we have incorporated in the website multiple links useful information and tools on community-based principles and approaches. They indicate:

  • Survey Instruments
  • Evaluation, Focus Group and Interview Guides
  • Program Reports
  • Monographs

Community of Learners serves as framework for exchanges, relationships and ongoing transactions for fresh ideas for inclusive, caring communities.
